Health and Wellbeing
Improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is one of our most important priorities.
We are working to reduce the health gap between non-Indigenous and Indigenous Australians. This includes outcomes for physical and mental health, disabilities, child health and aged care. Providing Indigenous children with a healthy start to life will give them the best chance of success in school and employment opportunities.
Helping Indigenous adults get healthy and remain healthy leads to happier, better functioning communities.
