  • The Hon Kelly O’Dwyer MP, Minister for Women


  • Ms Julie Inman Grant, e-Safety Commissioner Ms Inman Grant will showcase the work of the Office of the e-Safety Commissioner, and in particular the initiatives currently being rolled out to empower and protect women from technology facilitated abuse which also includes Image Based Abuse colloquially known as “revenge porn”.
  • Ms Alwyn Friedersdorff, President National Rural Women’s Coalition and representing the National Women’s Alliance Network Ms Friedersdorff will discuss her experience as a rural women and the ways technology supports social inclusion and empowers rural women and girls.
  • Ms Jackie Coates, General Manager Telstra Foundation Ms Coates will speak about the contemporary action the Telstra Foundation is undertaking to support safe, positive online experiences, including the Australian Digital Inclusion Index.

This event will highlight Australian examples of how technology supports social inclusion for women and girls living and working in rural, regional and remote Australia, highlighting some innovative measures and partnerships that are in place.
