Entry level programs

PM&C offers a broad range of opportunities for graduates and early career starters to sink their teeth into.

PM&C offers a broad range of employment opportunities for graduates and early career starters. This includes working in collaboration with other government departments to improve the lives of all Australians.

Our entry level staff learn about the broad work of the department and gain a breadth of experience across a number of policy areas, corporate and governance. As a result, staff can identify their areas of strength and future career pathways. Policy areas may include economic, international, social, national security or environmental policy amongst others.

We offer opportunities for university graduates, candidates with non-tertiary qualifications, school leavers and candidates looking for a career change.

For current opportunities outside of the entry level pathways, see the Current vacancies page.

Graduate programs

Applications open each year from March to April, with assessments throughout May to July.
