Applications are now open for the 2019 NAIDOC grant funding round.

Applications are open for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations to support the costs of local and regional NAIDOC activities across Australia.

The grants enable communities to host their own events, for example cultural showcases, sporting events, family fun days and activities that promote reconciliation.

The 2019 National NAIDOC Week theme, Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let’s work together for a shared future recognises Australia’s Indigenous identity was formed over 65,000 years ago and remains ingrained in our national fabric today.

In 2019, the Australian Government has committed $1.4 million in funding for NAIDOC activities through the Indigenous Advancement Strategy. In 2018, over 500 organisations across Australia received funding to support their NAIDOC events.

NAIDOC Week will be held from 7-14 July 2019 and provides an opportunity for all Australians to gather and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, achievements and continuing contributions to our country and society.

Details for the 2019 NAIDOC Grant funding, including the application kit, is available at NAIDOC Week Funding.

Applications close 25 February 2019 at 5pm (AEDT).
