Funding applications invited to deliver the Indigenous Girls STEM Academy

Eligible applicants are invited to submit applications for Indigenous Girls’ STEM Academy grant funding under the Indigenous Advancement Strategy.

Grant funding may be awarded as a one off payment or on a single year or multi-year basis depending on the final design and delivery of the Academy.

Grant funding is open to applicants that can demonstrate strong credibility in the areas of:

  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, including developing strong relationships with students, families, schools and communities.
  • Corporate and philanthropic engagement and partnership.
  • Processional and academic support.
  • Cultural competency – Indigenous Businesses are encouraged to apply and/or form a role within partnerships/consortia for this process.

The Government has committed $25 million for the Academy, with an initial investment of $20 million in the 2017-18 financial year.
