Net Zero Economy Agency Chair Greg Combet to speak at National Press Club – 2 April 2024

The Hon Greg Combet AM will address the National Press Club of Australia on 2 April 2024 on ‘Australia’s path to net zero emissions and the role of the Net Zero Economy Authority'.

Mr Combet will outline the economic context and pathway for Australia’s economic transformation associated with achieving net zero emissions.

He will speak to the Net Zero Economy Authority’s role in ensuring that the workers, industries and communities that have powered Australia for generations can seize the opportunities of Australia’s transition to a net zero economy.

He will also talk to the benefits of a net zero economy for Australia, including opportunities through the creation of new jobs and the involvement of businesses, industry and infrastructure to support the transition.

The work of the Net Zero Economy Agency is a precursor to the establishment of a legislated Net Zero Economy Authority, following Parliamentary processes.
