The portraits can be downloaded for free and are available for private use by individuals. The portraits are also available to the media.
The portraits cannot be used for commercial purposes and cannot be used in merchandising, advertising or for other non-editorial purposes.
When printing the official portraits, PM&C recommends that individuals work with their preferred printer to ensure print resolution and colour representation is as accurate as possible, but that the print resolution must not go below:
- 300 dpi for images intended for close-up viewing. For example: framed images, posters, booklets.
- 100 dpi for images intended for viewing from a distance / on larger mediums. For example: banners.
In all instances the images should not be cropped, trimmed or otherwise distorted by altering the image proportions or scaling. Where the size of the print medium is not directly proportionate to the size of the portraits, consideration should be given to adding borders or negative space around the images.
The high resolution files available below may print slightly larger than A3 size, which is acceptable, so long as the guidance set out above is applied.
Where each portrait is used for editorial purposes they should be credited as follows: Photograph by Millie Pilkington 2024.
Australians can request printed versions of the portraits through their Federal Member of the House of Representatives or Senator in their state or territory.
