The Central Analytics Hub is delivering data analysis projects to generate insights about complex policy questions in areas of government priority, demonstrating the benefits made under DIPA in large data sets, and driving cultural change in the use of data.
The unit is led by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
In 2019-20, the unit is undertaking a range of projects including:
- Outcomes for job seekers who have left employment services programs in remote Australia since 1 July 2013 ($300,000)
- Evaluating impacts of international migration on Australia ($294,754)
This unit was established in July 2018. In 2018-19, the projects the unit worked on included:
- The National Drought Map – supporting the Government’s response to drought in a collaboration with the Joint Agency Drought Taskforce and Data61
