Senate Order on Entity Contracts 2020-21 Financial Year

Pursuant to the Senate Order on Entity Contracts (as amended 14 May 2015), the following table sets out contracts entered into by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Pursuant to the Senate Order on Entity Contracts (as amended 14 May 2015), the following table sets out contracts entered into by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, which provide for a consideration to the value of $100 000 or more and which:

(1) started during the period, 2) ended during the period, and 3) started before the period and ended after the period.

Some of the contracts listed contain confidentiality provisions of a general nature that are designed to protect the confidential information of the parties that may be obtained or generated in carrying out the contract.

The reasons for including such clauses include:

  • ordinary commercial prudence that requires protection of trade secrets, propriety information and the like, and/or
  • protection of other Commonwealth material and personal information.

The accountable authority of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet has assured that the listed contracts do not contain any inappropriate confidentiality provisions.

Estimated cost of complying with this order: $7,800. This cost was estimated based on applying salary and on-costs to the number of hours spent by staff across various classifications to coordinate, collect and analyse the information and compile PM&C Portfolio Senate Order.
