Requirements for annual reports for departments, executive agencies and FMA Act bodies

Annual report requirements and supporting guidance are managed by the Department of Finance.

Annual report requirements and supporting guidance are managed by the Department of Finance.

The PGPA Non-Corporate Commonwealth Entity Annual Reporting Rule 2016; PGPA Corporate Commonwealth Entity Annual Reporting Rule 2016; and PGPA Commonwealth Company Annual Reporting Rule 2016 have been approved by the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit (JCPAA) and will take legal effect for the 2015-16 reporting period and future years.

The rules will retain all of the mandatory requirements contained in the existing and pre-existing annual report requirements and introduce two new annual report requirements for Commonwealth entities for 2015-16 and beyond: annual performance statements and reporting requirements on significant instances of non-compliance with the PGPA Act 2013 and PGPA Rules.

The Department of Finance will also be releasing supporting guidance material to assist entities and companies in the preparation of their annual reports for the 2015-16 reporting period. Further information can be found through the Public Management Reform Agenda website.
