Culture and Capability
Culture is central to the lives of Indigenous Australians and is a key factor in improving and maintaining wellbeing. It shapes Indigenous identity, linking people to their community and country.
Our programmes contribute to the maintenance and strengthening of Indigenous cultural expression and conservation. They are designed to increase Indigenous Australians’ participation in the social and economic life of Australia, through healing, and strengthening existing capabilities.
We aim to promote a broader understanding and acceptance of the unique place of Indigenous cultures in contemporary Australian society.
