2023 Quad Leaders' Summit

At the 2023 Quad Leaders’ Summit, Quad Leaders discussed their vision for an open, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific.

On 20 May 2023, the Hon Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia met with Quad Leaders Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of India, Prime Minister Kishida Fumio of Japan, and President Joseph R. Biden Jr. of the United States, in Hiroshima for the Quad Leaders’ Summit.

Quad Leaders released two joint statements at the Summit: a Leaders’ Vision Statement setting out their strategic vision for the future of the Quad, and a Joint Leaders’ Statement summarising key themes and outcomes from their discussion. To continue to build on the Quad’s positive and practical agenda, a range of initiatives were announced to enable a prosperous and stable Indo-Pacific.
