1. Guidance for PolicymakersRegulation
The Australian Government’s and Council of Australian Governments’ (COAG) regulatory policy and governance requirements are designed to support the development of quality regulation. They help ensure that decision-making is transparent and informed by evidence, and that policymakers consult with stakeholders and include consideration of the regulatory burden imposed.
The OBPR conducts face-to-face training to assist agencies to prepare regulation impact statements and to apply the Government’s Regulatory Burden Measurement framework. The OBPR also provides training for Australian Government officers on cost-benefit analysis and risk analysis.
