The Chief Operating Officers (COO) Committee (the Committee) met today at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to discuss the following matters:
Freedom of Information (FOI) Commissioner Presentation
The Committee noted a presentation by the FOI Commissioner Ms Elizabeth Tydd on trends, regulatory priorities and process reform. The Committee discussed the right to access information and engagement with applicants.
Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Framework
The Committee noted a presentation by the CEO of Reconciliation Australia and discussed opportunities for the Commonwealth to accelerate efforts towards reconciliation through Reconciliation Action Plans, consistent with commitments under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
Contractor Reporting, Integrity and Information Solution (CRIIS)
The Committee noted an update from the Department of Finance on the upcoming launch of the CRIIS.
