Innovation Challenge - An invitation to accelerate transformation of our digital health system

The Digital Technology Taskforce has been asked to find ways to ensure all Australians can benefit from digital technology and be protected against harms. The Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) is rising to the challenge.

The Agency has launched an Innovation Challenge seeking submissions from Australian digital health, engineering and biomedical industry to support the national COVID-19 effort and champion digital health innovation across Australia.

The Innovation Challenge broadly covers three key themes:

  • digital clinical care,
  • digital social care; and
  • digital health population management and future preparedness.

Successful applicants will receive funding of up to $50,000 to help businesses demonstrate their solution to the Agency and develop an implementation plan in collaboration.

Applications for the Innovation Challenge close at 11:59 pm AEST Sunday 10 May.

Australia has a track record of innovation and scientific achievement in healthcare. A priority in Australia’s National Digital Health Strategy is to support a thriving digital health industry delivering world-class innovation.

There is no better time for the Australian Government to fund our innovators by holding a competition to solve the most pressing problems facing the health system and our community.
